Susana Ballesteros's magic resides in her voice. Her music and voiceovers are deply marked by sensitivity and emotional clarity. She is valued for her unique, elegant, and expressive natural voice. Since she was little she has always felt fascinated by the sound of the voice, it's textures, resonances... those voices that make you feel before you've processed the words. And that's what whe convys in the booth, recording for a client or her own music.
Ballesteros is a Voice Arts Awards Winner and 4 times nominee in the categories: Outstanding Animation, Outstanding Promo, Best Spanish VO and Best Spanish Audiobook Narrator.
Directors always appreciate her ability to help any recording session go smoothly. She is always happy to be in the booth and cares deeply about the listener's experience.
Susana has recorded songs for several animation characters for Disney and Netflix shows, educational apps, etc. Since she has a professional degree in violin, she can sight read music.
Because of her experience in the voice over business and good ear, she frequently help cast talents for corporate, commercial and dubbing projects as well as direct other talents in the booth.
Her background is music and Journalism. Soon after she finished her Bachelors degree in Journalism she went on to get a Masters in Radio and, from there, started a career in voice over in Los Angeles. She records in English, Castilian Spanish and Latin American Spanish mainly. In 2011 she co-founded SucoPress Entertainment News Agency which covers entertainment news for Latin media outlets around the world. Besides her off camera work, she also has an on camera persona, as the LA correspondent for Hola TV. So when she was not in the booth she used to glam up to cover the Oscars Red carpet, Golden Globes, Emmys or Latin Grammys. Nowadays, when she is not recording she is writing music with a hot big mug of ginger tea by her side.
She is 6 feet tall, she plays classical violin, loves dressage, board games and musicals.
